Back With The Living
Saturday: Morning was trying to make it through the last few hours of work, throwing up my dinner from the night before, and fighting chills and hot flashes. Made it home, threw up more, and passed out in bed. Had Bojangles for breakfast. Chicken biscuit, seasoned fries, BoBerry biscuit, and Dr. Pepper. 3 SlimQuick pills taken with 8oz water. No lunch. No second dose of pills. Was mainly unresponsive on the couch all afternoon. Had Pizza Hut for early dinner. 1/2 of medium pizza, 2 bread sticks, 5 mini cinnamon sticks dipped in icing, 1 small bowl of ice cream. More unresponsive time on couch. Woke up and finished the last 5 mini cinnamon sticks dipped in icing, 1 small bowl of ice cream, and a couple resses cups. Later that night my hubs made me a milkshake that i had with a couple more reeses cups. My more throat was hurting so bad that ice cream felt like heaven! Only had one cup of water and the rest was soda. I just couldn’t get water down. It tasted nasty and was making my stomach upset. Uck! No exercise. No sticker on the calendar. Not very proud of the day food wise, but my husband was in charge and i wasn’t that alert to care what he brought me. I just wanted anything i could take down and busted through my blocked taste buds. he was a great trooper though going out and getting my meds for me and helping me when i needed it. Very rough day!
Sunday: Wake up and all i want is a bike ride. That right there lets me know i’m feeling better. No more nausea, chills, or hot flashes. Sadly, my energy still sucks so im not able to jump right out of bed and hit the bike. Instead i was up, semi dressed, and off to the grocery store with the hubba. It was calling for our first snow and it was suppose to be a bad one and we had no food in the house. That was probably the worse trip i have ever had to the grocery store. Sick, tired, snowing, and shopping for food. Sucked! Picked up Hardee’s for breakfast since we had coupons. I had 2 bacon, egg, and cheese biscuits. 3 SlimQuick pills taken with 8oz water. I’m proud to say after getting all the groceries up, eating, and picking up the kitchen some i got my butt on my bikey for an hour. It was not the best workout, but i did the best i could. I even did one of the harder programs so i could get a sticker up for the day.
Finished my ice cream for lunch with a few Reeses cups. Dinner was a bowl of cereal. 5 cups of water. Not what i like, but better then the day before. Only got that one bike ride in. Though i was feeling better, energy is still not where it use to be.
Feeling even better today. My nose is fully clear!!!! YAY for nose breathing! LoL It’s been a day so far of coughing up all this yucky crap that is breaking up. Oh so fun! I’m just happy to be among the living again and feeling some what normal. Food is back to what it should be and i have one exercise down and hopefully 1 or 2 more. Water is slow, but im determined to get at least 8 in before the day is over. Hopefully more, but i’m taking baby steps until im 100% good again. No soda! No icecream! Go me!
It’s just been a crappy weekend! We did not get to go out and celebrate saturday like we planned, but hope to get to go sometime soon! I know my hubs was looking forward to it and i feel so bad i couldnt take him. Darn sickness! It always has to come at the wrong time.
Anyway, for the rest of the week i’m rocking it! I have that magical number for this week and i hope that i can make it happen even with the weekend not being so good. Thankfully ill be working the rest of the week which will help me stay good and get that water down. I have rocked this month and i want to end it just as strong.

So sorry you’ve been sick, hope you’re on the mend. Great job on that bike after being so sick. I wouldn’t have the motivation. Good luck on that water. I do pretty good during the week, but weekends, not so much. Hopefully I can keep drinking and not eating too much while hubby is in the hospital. I didn’t gain any last time and he was in there for a month so maybe i can do it. Didn’t lose any either of course, but no gain is the important thing. Sure glad you’re back on here, I was wondering where you were.
GAWD your weekend sounds like it was horrible!!! I’m so sorry that it hit you hard like that!! However, I’m happy to see that your health might be leaning in a postive direction this week?! I won’t jinx you so I’m going to knock on wood!
hope you and hubby get to celebrate at some point, sorry you didn’t have a good weekend, I didn’t have a great one either but you weren’t feeling well, glad your on the mend though, you have had a great feb so I totally agree with you end it on a high. Have a great week
I was just wicked sick too! I hated it! I always eat like crap when Im sick!
